About me

Hello, I’m Shirley, and I offer gentle, supportive therapy for adults who feel weighed down by low mood, self-doubt, or the pressure to put others first. Many of the people I work with describe struggling to speak up, set boundaries, or feel truly seen in their relationships. I understand how exhausting this can be, and I want you to know you don’t have to carry it alone.
Clients often tell me that therapy helps them gain confidence, set healthier boundaries, and see themselves with more kindness. I hold space for whatever you bring — whether it’s sadness, anger, guilt, or uncertainty — and together we can begin to make sense of it in a way that feels safe and manageable.

My approach is warm and collaborative. I don’t believe in having ready-made answers — instead, I’ll be alongside you as we gently explore your feelings and experiences together. I pay close attention to how emotions are held in both mind and body, because sometimes the patterns that keep us stuck live as much in our bodies as in our thoughts. By noticing and working with this connection, you may begin to feel freer, more grounded, and more able to choose what feels right for you.
I work mostly online from rural Cheshire, with some in-person sessions available. My fee is £50 per hour, and I offer sessions on weekday mornings, Tuesday afternoons and evenings, and one Saturday morning a month. If you’d like to know more or arrange a first session, please feel free to get in touch. Reaching out can feel daunting, but it may also be the first step towards feeling more like yourself again.
