FAQ

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and see if we feel like a good fit. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. I’ll ask a few gentle questions to understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope for. Together we can decide if you’d like to continue working with me.

How long are sessions and how much do they cost?

Sessions are 60 minutes long and cost £50 each. Payment details can be arranged when booking. At present, I do not offer concessions, though I review this regularly.

Do you offer online or in-person therapy?

Most of my sessions take place online, which allows you to connect from the comfort of your own home. I also offer some in-person sessions in rural Cheshire, where possible.

How often will we meet?

Most clients find that weekly sessions provide a good rhythm and continuity, but this can be flexible depending on your needs.

How does online therapy work?

Online sessions are held via a secure video platform. You’ll need a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection. Many clients find that online therapy feels just as personal and supportive as meeting face to face.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything you share in sessions is treated with respect and confidentiality. The only exceptions are if I believe you or someone else is at risk of serious harm, in which case I may need to share information to keep you safe. I will always aim to discuss this with you first.

What if I need to cancel a session?

Life happens, and sometimes you may need to cancel. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

How do I book a session?

You can contact me directly by email or use the booking link. We’ll arrange a time that works for you, and I’ll send you all the details you need before your first session.
